About tollfreenumbers.org

A directory of every .com domain that matches a vanity toll-free number. Built to demonstrate, with real registered examples, that pairing your phone number and your domain name doubles your advertising's recall in the same amount of space.

What's actually in here

How each domain is enriched

  1. Zone-file scan — the source of truth for "this domain is registered" comes from a fresh Verisign .com zone file.
  2. DNS resolution — we query A/AAAA to confirm the domain points somewhere live.
  3. HTTP fetch — we GET the homepage and capture the title, headings, meta description, OG tags, and any tel: links.
  4. RDAP — we read the registrar and registration/expiration dates straight from Verisign's RDAP service. (We do not show registrant identity; that field has been redacted by GDPR for years.)
  5. Logo extraction — favicon, apple-touch-icon, and Open Graph image, in that priority order. Saved locally as a fallback to live links.
  6. Contact extraction — emails (mailto: + plain-text), phone numbers, business names from JSON-LD Organization schema, addresses, social handles. Where the site provides structured data, we read it; where it doesn't, we read what's clearly present in the HTML.
  7. Screenshots — full Chromium render at 1280×800. Saved as PNG.
  8. Categorization — primary signal is the words on the page itself (over 1.4 million unique word-to-category mappings from a curated database). Secondary fallback is the phone-keypad spelling. The category source is shown on every domain page so you can judge the confidence yourself.

Refresh policy

Zone-file snapshot is dated 2026-04-29. New registrations and deletions don't appear until the next refresh. Live signals (HTTP, DNS, contact pages) reflect the moment we last fetched.
